Responsible for herbal supplement formulation analysis, including chemical and pharmaceutical analysis and extraction of herbal plants and materials. Formulate herbal supplements with therapeutic, health enhancing effects. Test raw material to determine active ingredients. Responsible for preparation of required documentation and certificate of analysis, documentation of facilities technical SOPs in compliance with cGMP standards. Formulate herbal supplements that are safe and therapeutic that exceed FDA standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, or Chemical Engineering with courses taken in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis required. 36 months experience as Pharmacist or Herbal or Pharmaceutical Analyst is required.

Perform chemical analysis, extraction of herbal plants and materials and formulate herbal supplements with nutritional effects. Test raw material to determine active ingredients. Analyze herbal compounds using TLC and other techniques to determine conformance with FDA standards. Using techniques such as Assay, Microbiology, Heavy Metal Test to determine harmful compounds such as heavy metals, pesticides and other material. Responsible for preparation of required documentation and certificate of analysis, documentation of facilities technical SOPs in compliance with cGMP standards.

Associate degree in Chemistry or Nutrition is required. 36 months experience as Food Scientist, Food Technician, or Technical Director in Biotechnology or Nutrition company are acceptable.
